Anna Peters
Harvard College Class of 2023, Neuroscience
Anna Peters is a student in the class of 2023 at Harvard studying Neuroscience with a language citation in Chinese. She was born and raised on the North Shore of Oahu, and regularly goes to Taiwan to visit her family on her mom’s side. Whether she is in Oahu, Taiwan, or Boston, she is enthusiastic about getting involved with the community through service. In high school, she organized interactive science lessons to teach at the local elementary near her high school and volunteered at the Senior center in a hospital when she was in Taiwan. At Harvard, she is working in a lab at the Martinos Center in Massachusettes General Hospital utilizing MRI and MR Spectroscopy to look at the metabolic activity of glioblastomas to help determine the effectiveness of treatments at early stages. She is also involved in Harvard Green Medicine Initiative, MEDLIFE, volunteers with Strong Women Strong Girls and writes for the Flyby Blog of the Harvard Crimson. In her free time, she enjoys going to the beach, exploring cafes and restaurants, and doing various outdoor activities.
Accomplishments on the ASPT:
Helped lead the creation of a Neuroethics Primer that was sent out to donors and people of the Brainmind ecosystem
Performed market research on mind-training apps for the IASM project
Edited the Reid Hoffman Page on the Brainmind website
Updated the Neuroethics Page on the Brainmind website
