Brian Nguyen
Stanford University Class of 2021, Mechanical Engineering
Say hello to Brian! Brian is a student in the class of 2021 at Stanford University studying Mechanical Engineering with a Minor in German Studies. His interests vary widely, including sustainable engineering, machinery, environmental sciences, and sustainable agriculture. As a Vehicle Dynamics Researcher, he gets to combine several interests into one project as he helps design and create a vehicle completely powered by solar power that will eventually be raced across the Australian outback. Also, as a Basser Summer Fellow, he has the opportunity to conduct further research into climate change's effect on remote populations in the world, specifically focusing on how engineering can help aid Alaskan communities. He was born and raised in Camarillo, California (about fifteen minutes inland from Malibu), and beyond school, you will find him working underneath his car, hiking or rock climbing in the wilderness, or taking pictures of beautiful places!
