Shreya Singhvi
The University of California, Berkeley Class of 2022, Molecular and Cell Biology and Psychology
Shreya Singhvi is a student in the class of 2022 at the University of California, Berkeley pursuing a degree in Molecular and Cell Biology with an emphasis in Neurobiology, as well as a degree in Psychology. She grew up in Maryland and Illinois, and her family is now based in Massachusetts. Shreya has always been curious and passionate about neuroscience and the brain and has enjoyed learning more about the way the mind works through her studies. At Berkeley, she holds two research positions in the Psychology department. One project focuses on emotion recognition and empathy, and the other focuses on discerning authenticity in others. Outside of the lab, she is involved with many organizations on campus. She recently joined Neurotechnology at Berkeley, where she is involved with company outreach and speaker events, club marketing, and social media. Shreya is also a volunteer for the Suitcase Clinic, a club that promotes the health and well-being of unhoused and underserved individuals through service provision, cooperative learning, and collective action. In the future, Shreya strives to combine her interests in wellness and positive psychology with her interest in neurotechnology to bolster happiness and gratitude in individuals and communities. In her free time, she enjoys reading, journaling, spending time appreciating nature, and roller skating!
Accomplishments on the ASPT:
Pitched and planned the digital marketing strategy and managed a team of students to bolster EYOL’s social media presence
Managed a team of students to gather information on supplements, foods, and beverages that enhance brain function
Contributed to a team creating the primary source of information on the science of purpose
