Sofia Vera Verduzco

Sofia is a rising junior studying cognitive science (Symbolic Systems) at Stanford University. Her background is in neuroscience research and non-profit work, also having lived and studied in Latin America, Europe, and Africa. She is passionate about the intersection between cognition, technology, and social impact, with special interest in animal welfare and global health and development initiatives. She was very excited to intern at BrainMind this summer because of the incredible opportunities it presented to learn about business and entrepreneurship, build valuable transferable skills, receive mentorship, and contribute to neuroscience and neuroethics initiatives.
Accomplishments on the ASPT:
Led team for BCI infographic update, reaching out to many experts for guidance
Led the team for Engine project to connect neurotech startup to relevant VC firms and scaled it to streamline future connections-
Pitched mutliple scout programs
