Vinh Tôn is a software developer who studied Symbolic Systems as a 2020 undergraduate at Stanford University, exploring the relationship between systems of information processing e.g: natural language, the human mind, and artificial intelligence systems. He is currently enrolled at Stanford as a masters' student of computer science, specializing in human-computer interaction, identifying and designing human-centered digital solutions for real world problems, with a focus on community mental health. He is passionate about the intersection of technology and accessible service for marginalized communities, and he actively engages in various social impact projects using my skillset. Some examples include: Raheem AI, an anonymous police interaction rating platform to promote safety for Black communities in the US and Formally, a digital platform that seeks to connect pro bono lawyers with asylum seekers and make the US immigration process more streamlined and accessible. He was born in small Southern river village in Bến Tre, Việt Nam, spent most of his childhood in Charleston, South Carolina, and am now based

between the Bay Area and Miami, FL. In his free time, he likes to learn new skills online because the internet is such a big and cool place that makes knowledge so accessible compared to the past. He’s currently using the internet to learn Arabic and video game development! You can learn more about him by visiting my website: vinhton.com.
